We are living in unprecedented and challenging times. Companies are sending employees home to work, with an unclear sense if they ever going back to the office or joining the unemployment queu.

Remote or not, working from home is the future.

When you work from home, you no longer have the rhythm of office life to schedule your day around.

Things are predicted to change more and not less.

With extended lockdowns and wishes to stay home and stay safe you can feel isolated. Here are some ideas for you to try, to fully benefit from distance working and learning;

Do pushups at home.

Physical activity and exercise are demonstrated powerful tools against depression or anxiety.

Our body’s systems work better when we are consistently physically active.

You do not have to do any fancy stuff, a couple of squats, lunges and pushups can already produce energy and strength. But keep a routine!

High Emotional Intelligence is essential

Improving your EQ which is the ability to connect with people, and adapting to change, and acting maturely is more important now than IQ. If you’re interested in enhancing your EI, you are not alone in your goal! (Read on, in the links below I have added wonderful free resource material)

Find your balance

Mental stability can help you perform under pressure. With physical health you must have mental health. Working on my mind as well as my body is the most important thing.

Boredom and isolation will make you want to distract yourself. In a world filled with information having clarity is a powerful weapon. To maintain mental clarity, it is necessary that you do, practice the meditation in regular way. It helps you to get positive thoughts and strengthens self-regulation.

Wrap silence around yourself for few minutes a day settle into it.

Take advantage of this downtime, surveying the field. Avoid consuming too much and producing too little. And shift your mindset from being a passive consumer to someone who is a producer.

Build an independent brand around yourself

If you have a trade, set up a Google my Business listing and start offering your services. To avoid rejections in the beginning you can start by offering free inspections and ask them for a reviews in return.

Going in the future, you want to do this as well. It requires a bit of ground work and sincere preparation but this is worth following through. Two to Three years from now, you will have all the benefits and it will generate leads for you. Big or small reviews it does not matter. It will help you stand out from your competitors.

  • Developing an above average Emotional intelligence.
  • Awakening the Internal Strength and Mental toughness.

No matter what you do, remember that working from home is yet another “new normal” to get used to — and the sooner you adapt to what makes you most productive, healthy, and mentally well, the better.
